Are Suno creators here? Amsterdam will be the stage for the AI Song Contest 2025, which is the competition’s return to the Netherlands for the first time since its launch in 2020. The event’s final is set to take place in the Dutch capital on November 16.

The AI Song Contest, now in its sixth edition, is the largest international competition dedicated to music created with the help of artificial intelligence. This year’s submission window opens in July and closes in August. Contest rules require participants to incorporate AI into their creative process and explain how it was used. Songs cannot exceed four minutes, and while lyrics are optional, performers are free to use any language. Each artist or group may only compete with one team per year.

A jury of over 20 global experts in music, AI, songwriting, and ethics will review the submissions in September and select entries for the final round. Public voting will follow in October, with winners revealed at the award show in November.

Since its inception, the contest has gained traction, attracting entries from around the world. Previous winners have included teams from Australia, Chile, the Netherlands, Thailand, and the United States. The competition evaluates entries based on AI integration, with expert judges assessing technical aspects while the public votes on the overall appeal of the songs. Among the contest partners is Musical AI which advocates for fair practices in AI-generated music and focuses on licensing and attribution solutions designed to protect musicians and rights holders. RipX DAW will also join as a junior partner.
