Musical AI, an Ottawa, Ontario, Canada-based provider of an attribution and rights management platform for generative AI across the music sector, raised $4.5M in funding.

The round was led by Heavybit with participation fromBDC and Build Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its team, to further develop its successful attribution technology, and to support breakthrough industry deals.

Led by CEO Sean Power, Musical AI provides real attribution models for generative AI in music, creating an Al Training license management and attribution platform to uplift musicians, respect rightsholders, and generate creativity for music makers and tech innovators.
